Caller Line Identification (“CLI”) technology is accessed via BT’s latest BCM telephone system which is linked to a fully automated booking and despatch system provided by the worlds largest manufacturer of taxi management systems – GPC Computer Software Limited (“Autocab”)./
Communication between the control room and vehicles takes place by way of data only transmissions. Every vehicle is fitted with PDA / SATNAV units linked to the Control Room via the latest GPRS technology.
Customer service enhancements include “Ringback” whereby on request a customer can ask for an automated two ring “Ringback” when the taxi is in position to collect them – ideal for customers being collected from busy pubs, clubs and restaurants or when being collected from blocks of flats and offices.
